Applying For Admission To Bishop Brady High School

Applying for admission to Bishop Brady High School using our printed packet materials is a simple, straight-forward process. We will provide you with the tools to make sure your application packet is complete and ready for our review.

The following checklist shows the items that need to be completed before your application is reviewed for admission. Only completed application files will be reviewed.

Records Release Form Completed
A copy should be given to your Guidance Counselor so that 6th, 7th, and 8th grade transcripts and standardized test scores can be released to us for review. A second copy is to be mailed to us with your application. (If you are using our printed materials, the white copy is for your counselor and the yellow copy should be sent to us with your application.)  Click here to download the Records Release Form
 
Personal Essay
A short, hand-written personal essay is required for your application so that we can have a sample of your writing skills.  The required subject is outlined on the Personal Essay form.  (Essay must be written on the Essay form provided or downloaded.)  Click here to download the Personal Essay Page
 
Application for Admission
Your completed one-page Application for Admission form should be sent in with the $45.00 application fee with your personal essay stapled to the application. Your copy of the completed Records Release form should be mailed in with your application.  Click here to download the Application
 
Teacher Recommendation Forms
Give Teacher Recommendation forms to two teachers (one to your current math teacher and one to a teacher of your choice). Please provide them with an envelope addressed to Bishop Brady so they may send it directly to us at their earliest convenience.   Click here to download the Teacher Recommendation Form 

Personal Recommendation Form
Give Personal Recommendation form to your personal reference (priest, pastor, coach, scout leader, close neighbor, etc.) Please provide them with an envelope addressed to Bishop Brady so they may send it directly to us at their earliest convenience.  Click here to download the Personal Recommendation Form

Personal Interview
Once you have submitted your application to us, you will want to call to make an appointment for your Personal Interview
 
EXPLORE Placement Test
Sign up for the next available EXPLORE Placement Test (required of all 9th and 10th graders).  Please note, we will accept the STS High School Placement Exam or the SSAT if you are already taking these exams at another testing site.  All you need to do is notify us of this and send us a copy of the results when they are available. 

If you have scheduled an appointment for a personal interview, and have taken the  Placement Test, or have signed up for the next available test, we will consider your application file complete as long as everything else is on file with us. If you have missed the scheduled Placement Test dates we will make arrangements for you to take the exam individually with us at a later date. 

That's it! You're done!! The timing of the review process of your file will depend on when your application file is complete.
