Rachel Bittman - St. Timothy Award on World Youth Day

Rachelbittman.jpgWe are very pleased to announce that one of our students has been recognized as a young woman who is a true witness to living her faith in action.

Let us congratulate Rachel Bittman who will receive the St. Timothy Award on Word Youth Day at St. Joseph’s Cathedral in Manchester this Sunday October 23rd. This is a very prestigious award given to a deserving high school senior each year by the Diocese of Manchester.

We hope that some of you can join us this Sunday to celebrate with Rachel. The ceremony begins at 2:00 PM and we must RSVP by tomorrow (Tuesday). Any advisor, teacher, friend or student who would like to attend must give your response to Mrs. Fairbanks by tomorrow. You can email her or let one of the Theology teachers know. You must also indicate whether or not you would need a ride to the Cathedral and Mrs. Fairbanks will arrange transportation.

***The Saint Timothy Award is the highest recognition from the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry (NFCYM) for a diocese to confer to a junior or senior who lives as a disciple of Christ, setting a positive example for other youth, witnesses to their faith by exhibiting Catholic morals and integrity, demonstrates Gospel values through service to others, and exhibits Christian leadership in parish, school, and/or community setting***
