For the past two years Jonathan has been carefully reconstructing pueblo villages, scouring the high desert for pieces of history, and facing natural and man-made challenges in northern New Mexico. As a National Park Service Archeological Technician at Bandelier National Monument, much of Johnny's work has focused on restoring the foundations of ancient dwellings. The job is a shift from Johnny's Colonial-centric academic training back in Vermont where he obtained a master's degree in historic preservation at St. Michael's College. He has also been accepted to an advanced National Park Service preservation and restoration course that will expose him to new projects and techniques at sites across the country.
