Academics

Bishop Brady High School offers a rigorous academic curriculum in a small school environment. Brady students receive a career/college preparatory education in which the focus is on developing critical thinking, creative problem solving, life skills, collaboration and effective communication.

We offer extensive advanced placement offerings as well as dual enrollment opportunities. Last year we embarked on a partnership with the Concord Regional Technical Center (CRTC).

In addition to our strong career/college prep curriculum, Bishop Brady is committed to identifying and promoting partnerships with local organizations to extend our students academic opportunities beyond the classroom with the goal of fostering learning through involvement with community and service.

Additionally, Bishop Brady is continually expanding opportunities for students to demonstrate leadership, consistent with the school’s vision of developing young people of faith, learning, and service.

PROGRAM OF STUDY

Brady has a history of offering a rigorous, college preparatory Catholic high school curriculum. This includes extensive Advanced Placement and dual enrollment opportunities.  It is our goal to extend our traditional program with opportunities for students to supplement their studies with real world exposure through participation in the Concord Career Technical program and student designed internships.

Bishop Brady’s academic program reflects the school’s commitment to cultivating individual student growth in learning, service to others and faith. This growth starts in an environment that nurtures talents and supports struggle.

Our curriculum offers students a wide range of course choices in subjects suitable for college preparatory study. A Bishop Brady education provides an environment where students can question, explore, analyze and communicate effectively and respectfully.

We encourage our students to pursue their interests, push themselves to new challenges and open their minds to the belief that education and faith is a life-long journey.  Click link below to learn more about our Curriculum.

Service Requirements

Part of Brady's mission is the tenet of service. In fulfilling this, Brady requires a service component in the Theology Curriculum that seeks to establish a habit of service and an experience of a conversion of heart in giving of ourselves to others. A successful program allows the volunteer to connect with the people he or she serves and to understand the purpose and need for giving of ourselves. All service should be personal and should emphasize the preferential option for the poor and vulnerable. These principles are inherent to the Gospel:

Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, "I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."… The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.”

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
