Summer Reading

Summer Reading expectations for students accepted after July 14, 2025

Students accepted between July 14, 2025 and August 1, 2025 will be expected to read a fiction book from their grade summer reading list and adhere to the assignment expectations regarding the project. Students in grades 10-12 will also read the alternate non-fiction article for their grade and will have a timed write in class. (Grade 9 is exempt from the non-fiction reading requirement; it will be done in class and be teacher-directed.)

Students in grades 10-12 will also read the alternate non-fiction article for their grade and will have a timed write in class. (Grade nine is exempt from the non-fiction reading requirement; it will be done in class and be teacher-directed.)

  • All projects are due the first week of classes. Due by Thursday, August 28th, 2025
  • Grade 10-12 will read a non-fiction piece and have an in-class timed write. Grade 9 students will do that work in class.
